Window dressers are probably working overtime at Ibn Battuta Mall on Monday in hope that something may catch the fancy of socialite heiress Paris Hilton, who is popping into the sprawling complex to visit her designer store this evening.
“Hey Dubai, come meet Me tomorrow 6pm My Store at The Ibn Battuta Mall. Ground Floor/Unit IBS GF 47 Tunesia Section/ Sheik Zayed Road [sic],” she tweeted last night.
The part-time actress and singer jetted into Dubai on Wednesday, aboard an Emirates flight (which also saw her tweet: “I Love Emirates airlines… such an amazing airline)”, to attend the two-year anniversary bash of Okku, the popular Japanese eatery at The Monarch Hotel.
Hilton’s turn at Okku on Thursday night saw her reunite with three for her Best Friends Forever or BFFs from her Dubai reality show back in 2009 where she went looking for a new party pal from our city.
While legal wrangles took the show two years to make it to the air, albeit not yet in the Middle East, she at least remembers her friends, with Hilton tweeting on Friday early morning: “Partying OkkuRestaurant with my Dubai BFF’s Gelareh ReemyPie and MartitaBFF. Love my girls! [sic]”
Dubai diary: The ‘Stars Are Blind’ singer has spent a busy few days in Dubai, with visits to the local malls, touring the Downtown area, along with heading out into the Arabian Gulf on a private yacht.
Her corresponding tweets have outlined her busy diary, with a quick retail therapy at Dubai Mall on Thursday itself before the Okku bash, where Hilton tweeted: “At The Dubai Mall Aquarium. So beautiful! This mall is so big and has the best stores! Huge!”
Complaining about severe jet lag and the heat, Hilton still seemed quite upbeat about her holiday here, adding: “My first trip in Dubai was great, but I can already tell my second trip here will be even better! I love Dubai, such an incredible place!”
Saturday saw her take to the waves, with her update saying: “Wow! It's so hot in Dubai! I can’t wait to get on the yacht and into the water.”She later added: “Just went jet skiing, so much fun! The water here is so warm, almost like a bath. Love Dubai!”While it is unclear when she is flying back to her home in Los Angeles, Hilton is not alone facing the Dubai summer heat, with boyfriend Cy Waits.
