TOI was the first to report that Paris Hilton was headed to Mumbai. Now we bring you all the juicy details of her visit to the city.
The Hilton heiress is coming to town to launch her handbag line. It's a business trip, so Paris is flying down to Mumbai on the morning of September 24 and will be here for a total of three nights and four days.
According to sources, "Paris will be put up at the presidential suite in a five star hotel in Juhu and will unveil her handbag line (ranging from Rs 4,000 to Rs 12,000) at her first media briefing here."
She will get a glimpse of Mumbai's nightlife on her first night itself, at a party hosted by an A-lister from Bollywood. The next day will see Paris shooting a special episode of Koffee with Karan with director Karan Johar, after which she will head to a suburban mall (where one of the stores is located) and interact with her fans. The next day is reserved for lunch with editors of various fashion magazines and she might even fit in a photo shoot later in the day.
"Her last day in the city is comparatively free, but she intends to attend a charity event, which is as yet, undecided," says the source. Those expecting to see the fashionista at various city hot spots will be disappointed, as she isn't planning to sightsee or socialise on this trip.
Paparaazzi from all over the world will tail the actress in India. Apart from her own security, she will be provided local bodyguards as well. When contacted, Harshad Chavan, who is managing her itinerary in Mumbai, says, "Yes, we're managing her stay in Mumbai, but I can't confirm any other details because of security reasons."
